Prenatal and New Parent Support

Prenatal Partner workshop

Designed for expectant mothers and their partners, in this work shop couples learn how to support one another through the journey of pregnancy. Partners can expect yoga postures, massage techniques and breath work to help create relaxation and create a calming birthing experience. Partners are not limited to parents of the child but anyone who may be supporting the birth experience.

Birthing Woman's** Circle

The transformation from the womb to Earth side is life changing for baby and the birthing person. During this circle we celebrate the transition a parent goes through from pregnancy to postpartum. During the birthing circle we will honor the parents' birth stories, experiences and wisdom while creating a safe and sacred place. The celebration will include any story sharing you are comfortable talking about, share mantras, hymns and guided meditations.

This experience is an enriching way to meet other birthing people whom identify as Women'.

Babies are welcome!

Birth Blessing Celebration

A collection of friends and family will surround you, the mother with love, guidance and wishes for the journey of motherhood.  The focus of this ceremony is to empower and support the pregnant woman with art, dance, blessings and beauty.

Mother** to Be workshop

During this workshop, we will talk about resources for birth and after birth, work through some birthing fears, discuss and choose appropriate birth wishes to reflect their ideal birth and discuss the basics of chest/ breast feeding and their alternatives. It will be centered around yoga & pranayama to develop body awareness and include yoga nidra and guided meditation.

Maiden to Mother**

This is a great workshop to do alone or with a partner; in this work shop we will make a bath soak for pregnant parents, create malas for before and during labour and create beautiful birth mantras. This is a fun, interactive workshop to celebrate mom to be.

Empowering Mothers** Mediation

Managing motherhood can be a juggling act sometimes with children, partners, to do lists; and the most important person is often neglected is you. In this workshop we will discuss the science and benefits of meditation, self reflection and self care. We will discuss postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety and the baby blues. During the workshop you will learn how to meditate, journal and take five for yourself. We will have a safe sacred space to find like minded mamas while sharing and listening.

**These celebrations are inclusive, and will be celebrated for the birthing parent(s) whether they are women, men, nonbinary parents or transparents. They are also adaptable for adopting parents and surrogacy. I am ALWAYS ready to include all families and their dynamic stories. I am always working to listen and be inclusive.

I acknowledge, as a third- generation settler from Bukovina, Ukraine, that my practice is situated on Treaty 6 territory, in amiskwacîwâskahikan ( ᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ Beaver Hills House in Cree); ti oda, (Many Houses as per Nakota Sioux); and Amakowsis, or omahkoyis (Big Lodge from Niisitapi). It is possible that the fort was known by other names as well, in languages which have yet to be revitalized- but is most recently referred to as Edmonton, AB. This land is the traditional lands of the First Nations, including nêhiyaw, Cree, Dené, Anishinaabe Saulteaux, Nakota Isga Nakota Sioux, and Niitsitapi Blackfoot peoples, the Métis’ homeland and the home of one of the largest communities of Inuit, South of the 60th parallel.

For these Nations, intuitive and inner wisdom always was and still is deeply rooted in their birthing practice shared by their Knowledge Keepers and Elders. Much of the education here in the Western world of Birth Work is stolen and sold to people such as myself, from Indigenous people all over Turtle Island and other parts of the world.

I call upon the Canadian Gov't to continue to work with the 94 call to Reconciliation and will continue to personally do my best work towards being a better ally and care taker of this land, while committing to support the agency and autonomy of Indigenous peoples in revitalizing and participating in traditional, contemporary, and future manifestations of their heritage and culture.

I strive to offer a family practice, inclusive of all people, with equity, inclusion and diversity offered and honoured. These priorities include, but are not limited to, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, social class, physical ability or attributes, religious or ethical values system, national origin. an act of reconciliation, I will continue to work towards creating inclusion, equity and diversity within my Birth Work.

If you identify as a member of the 2SLGBTQ and/or BIPOC community please let me offer you an appropriate exchange of services / fee for the services I offer, with the above acknowledged as a way to thank you..
